2021 Maven Year In Review

A Look Back

2021 has been a year for the books, and there’s no doubt Maven has a lot to be proud of! We brought on new team members, worked with tons of new clients, and expanded greatly within our live production service offering.

It was a pivotal year with a lot to offer, so what better way to wrap it all up than to highlight some of our best moments and accomplishments!

New Mavens

2021 was a year of growth for our team as we brought on three new Mavens: Anies as Video Editor, Kevin as Senior Motion Designer, and Kaitlyn as Content Writer.

Bringing on these team members meant we could allow for more dedicated focus and specialization in each area.

New Clients

In addition to our many long-term clients, we worked with a total of 56 new clients this year in all three of our services areas (marketing, live production, and video production).

Here are a few that we’re excited to share with you!

Fidelity Manufacturing Group

Fidelity is a manufacturing company who we are working with to develop a new brand, website, content marketing strategy, and more! We’re excited to work with Fidelity into the new year and help them develop a new look and better online presence.

BP&D Law

We helped BP&D Law create thought leadership videos for some of their key team members. These videos will be used on social media and their website.

Glacier

Our projects with Glacier gave us the chance to provide support with everything from writing to ads and design. This year we helped them to create sales documents, white papers, and blogs!

SKYTRAC

We helped SKYTRAC to plan and create a high quality interview style brand video. Whether it was writing and interview planning or live shooting, video production, and motion graphics, we were there to assist throughout the entire video process.

New Live Production Projects

For Maven, 2021 meant that our live production services were in high demand! Being one of the few experts in this area, we were able to innovate our way forward and help tons of clients transition from in-person to hybrid and live events. Here’s a few of our most noteworthy projects!

AltaGas

Altagas needed an investor related broadcast done at an exceptionally high quality. We were able to come in and provide everything from start to finish. That meant event and set planning, capturing corporate videos in the weeks leading up to the event, and then bringing everything together and doing the live broadcast on the day of the event.

Sherwood

The live production we did with Sherwood was particularly exciting because we used a screen as a backdrop and dynamically placed in video for the background. PowerPoint slides came up as a part of the screen and created an abstract live viewing experience.

And many more

Some of our live productions this year included the McCaig Institute for Bone and Joint Health Wood Forum, multiple CEPA Foundation events, and a Dungeons and Dragons charity event for Twitch Calgary just to name a few.

No matter how big or small, each live production event challenged us in new ways and allowed us to hone in on what it is that makes a great live experience.

As we reflect on 2021, we also look forward to 2022 and everything the new year will bring. We can’t wait to continue working with our incredible clients and conquer more exciting projects with you all!
